A collection of six one-act plays from six Newberry authors. The authors are Avi, Susan Cooper, Sharon Creech, Patricia MacLachlan, Katherine Paterson, and Richard Peck. They are fun plays to act out as well as fun plays to read since they were written by such great authors.
Activity: Divide the class in groups and let them act out the plays - even if it is in more of a reader’s theater situation with a narrator reading the stage notes.
