Mouse uses many artistic and construction techniques to create the alphabet. The illustrations are bright colors and bold pulp paintings created by pouring colored cotton fiber through hand cut stencils that give a fun feel to the book. Included on the last page is a calendar including Mouse’s work schedule and things to do, with the letters of the alphabet placed on the calendar and each crossed off.
Activity: “Construct” your initials. Draw a picture of your initials with the letters “constructed” out of other things.
